Welcome to the 2025 Accent Benchtops Rally Queensland.

This year’s event is once again promoted by the Brisbane Sporting Car Club, with Accent Benchtops returning as naming rights sponsor. Thank you once again Glen, for your generosity and ongoing support. I also want to thank
the ongoing support and hard work of Gympie Regional Council (who have returned as a major partner of the event), along with HQPlantations, who both provide us with some very challenging roads on which to compete. Not to
mention the many friendly residents along the rally route.

ABRQ was excited and honoured to receive the 2024 Mainfix “Event of the Year” and the Pedders Suspension & Brakes “Rally Central of the Year” Awards, as voted by competitors for all ARC events nation-wide. The ABRQ Team will be working hard to maintain the standards achieved in 2024 and will be doing their darndest to again be considered for such awards in 2025.

Please be aware that Gympie “has a bit on” at the Showgrounds over the weekend of the rally. There will be four major events happening within the Showground precinct:
1. ABRQ (obviously),
2. a “Heritage Makers Fair” (Sat & Sun - est. attendance 4000+ people),
3. a 150+-car Cooloola Car Club vehicle display/Show-and-Shine (sponsored by Wishlist - Sat only), and
4. an Australian BBQ Alliance BBQ Championship competition (Fri night & Sat)

With this much activity in the one area I’m anticipating a very busy Rally Village and Service Park. Accommodation in the Gympie township and surrounding areas is filling fast so I suggest you don’t delay in booking yours.

Testing will be available on Thursday morning, with Recce for all crews on Thursday afternoon, which then continues on Friday. The amazingly popular “Wheels on Mary” street party will again be the Showcase activity on Friday
evening.

This year’s Accent Benchtops Rally Qld will feature some 192 km of competitive stages. The event again uses HQP forest and Shire roads to the south and west of Gympie. Most of these roads were used in the 2024 event but with some subtle changes – most notably, a return to a forest area not used since the early IROQ days. With this change, crews will have 3 stages (run twice) on Saturday, with Sunday also having 3 stages (run twice), and which includes the ever-popular “Gympie Gold” Power Stage.

Alongside the ARC competition, the 2025 ABRQ event incorporates a round of the KickAss Products Motorsport Australia Queensland Rally Championship, KickAss Products Motorsport Australia Queensland 2WD Rally Championship, KickAss Products Motorsport Australia Queensland Junior Championship, Acworth Recruitment Motorsport Australia Queensland Clubman Rally Series and WSC Subaru Experts Motorsport Australia Queensland Novice Rally Series. And something totally new to ABRQ for the 2025 event; a Rally Regularity competition, to help and encourage new and aspiring competitors entering our sport.
