Welcome to the 2025 Buckby Motors Rally Tasmania.

It’s a real thrill to be back in Burnie for the second year running, building on the success of last year’s event. Rally Tasmania has quickly established itself as a highlight of the Motorsport Australia, EROAD Australian Rally Championship and the Motorsport Australia, Tasmanian Rally Championship calendars, and we’re excited to once again showcase the very best rally roads in the country right here on Tasmania’s north-west coast.

This event would not be possible without the support of our loyal partners, including our title partner Buckby Motors, along with Events Tasmania and of course the City of Burnie. We also sincerely thank the North West Car Club, the Burnie community and the local residents who have again welcomed us so warmly.

A special thank you goes to our volunteer Motorsport Australia officials. Your dedication and hard work make this event possible, and we know you’ll enjoy another fantastic weekend across the stages, the Wivenhoe Service Park, and Rally HQ.

The 2025 edition promises fierce competition as national and state championship contenders fight for honours on these brilliant gravel stages. Unfortunately, the Burnie Super Special stage won’t be returning for this year in the heart of Burnie, however with a fantastic spectator stage in the nearby Oldina Reserve we expect large crowds to cheer on the crews in action over the weekend. However, of course we’ll once again celebrate together at the Rally Tasmania Rally Show on the Burnie waterfront on Friday night.

Moving the rally to November has already proven a great success, with longer days, warmer weather, and a perfect atmosphere for rallying and for enjoying everything this region has to offer.

This is such a special part of the world, and we are delighted to once again bring the country’s best rally drivers and teams to Burnie. Whether you’re here as a competitor, crew member, official, or spectator, we encourage you to enjoy not only the rally but also the scenery, hospitality, and of course the food that Tasmania is so well known for – after all, as they say, “if you have a bad meal in Tassie, then you have cooked it yourself.”
